Freeze on Construction and the curse of drought
G-d’s Freeze of Summer and Bibi’s Freeze on Jewish Construction in Israel
In the age of confusion and heresy that we live in people who believe in G-d and people with humility who trace the hand of G-d in this world are frowned upon. There was, however, a time when it was not viewed as a crime for one to view ones personal suffering or the suffering of the nation of Israel as Divine punishment to awaken us to repent. “Because of our sins we were exiled from our land”, and “If you walk in my statutes and if you follow the mitzvah”, you will be blessed with peace, security, rain and sustenance in the land, as we state in our prayers and as the Torah spells out repeatedly.
The Torah perspective holds that man is rewarded or punished for his actions, and that suffering could be a blessing in disguise if it triggers and motivates the person to seek into his soul and to analyze the reason that the suffering has befallen him at this time. Such a person who accepts his fate with happiness and who corrects his ways, only emerges stronger from his trying circumstance. Arrogant people who refuse to search their ways and who refuse to consider fixing their ways, continue down their own path of self-destruction, for in the way that man walks, G-d continues to walk him.
The headlines in the Israeli newspapers should be enough to wake up any Jew.
Allow me to quote several back-to-back headlines from Wednesday’s papers: “A drought for the seventh consecutive year, with no rain over the horizon”, “Bibi encounters some difficulty passing new construction freeze”, “Clouds over Israel prevent flights from taking off or landing at Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport, huge financial losses due to planes being grounded”, “Rabbis attack Bibi for selling Israel out over a few planes”, “All Eyes watched the inferno and flames from the top floors of Tower of Peace in Tel Aviv.”
Last Tuesday-Wednesday, indeed historic days to remember:
Bibi sends out mixed messages about the new proposed freeze on all Jewish construction in Judea and Samaria. A diplomatic cloud of confusion and it is truly unclear if there will be a freeze, if Obama will give Bibi his written and irrelevant guarantees that aren’t worth the paper that they would be written on…And we are plagued with unprecedented clouds over Israel…
All planes are grounded on the same day that Bibi tries to sell Israel out over 20 planes. In the end, it seems that Obama never promised to supply the planes immediately or unconditionally as Bibi originally tried to fraudulently report, as if it makes any difference….
As all eyes in Israel watched this incredible miracle in Tel Aviv as the top floors of the Tower of Peace caught fire and with only four light injuries, Bibi’s eyes were on Washington pleading with the Americans to send him written guarantees that could assist him to more effectively market the false peace deal and the new freeze on Jewish construction in the Holy Land…
As Israeli farmers cry for rain, entering into the seventh year of drought, and as the summer climate remains frozen over Israel, with boiling hot temperature and no rain in sight, Bibi tries to implement yet another freeze on the land.
Bibi seems to have forgotten that The Chosen People of Israel were given an inheritance of the Chosen Land of Israel and that there is a G-d in Israel, who, in His infinite mercy, gives us constant reminders that He is the one who controls whether we shall live or die, whether there shall be rain or not, whether we shall have water, security and peace. All of the guarantees from Obama and Clinton are meaningless. All betrayal of the Torah and of the Land will not bring peace and security and will only incur the wrath of the Almighty. Bibi thinks he can freeze our Jewish life on The Land? G-d will freeze all growth from The Land and all rain, Heaven forbid.
Today, finally, the nationalist and religious in Israel are beginning to awaken from their slumber and there is a planned protest outside of Bibi’s offices in Jerusalem. Very little, very late, but something, none- the-less. And finally, a bit of rain in the forecast for tomorrow!
Surely, the people of Israel have the ability to force their representatives to reconsider, at the very least, the potential political fallout of another suicidal freeze on construction, which is nothing but a prelude to the surrender of the land. And even if the politicians refuse to listen to their constituents, G-d will always hear the prayers and the voices of protest of those who truly seek Him and those who truly speak out against evil.
And yes, yet another reminder, where exactly will the good Jews in the major cities like Tel Aviv run when the buildings catch fire and get demolished by the thousands of rockets aimed at Tel Aviv from Gaza, Lebanon and G-d forbid soon from Samaria, G-d forbid? And as Tel Aviv turns into an African refugee city of crime, where will the Jewish refugees find refuge if not in the hills and towns of Judea and Samaria that Bibi rushes to freeze and surrender?
